Privacy Policy
This policy covers the website westmorearchive.org and Westmore Archive Uploader (the "Uploader"), a private tool the channel operator uses to publish videos to their own YouTube channel.
YouTube API Services
The Uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube is a Google service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
Information the Uploader accesses and collects
After you sign in with Google and give permission, the Uploader accesses:
- Basic channel information (channel ID, channel name, video count), to confirm the correct channel is connected.
- Videos you upload with it and their details (title, description, tags, privacy status, thumbnail, processing status).
It does not access comments, playlists, analytics, subscribers, or any other user's data.
How the information is used
Only to upload your approved videos to your own channel and to confirm each upload succeeded. It is not used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.
How the information is shared
It is not sold, rented or shared with any third party, internally or externally. It is only sent to YouTube to perform the upload. The Uploader does not let third parties serve content or advertisements.
Information stored on your device
The Uploader stores on the operator's own computer, in a folder only that user account can read:
- the Google sign-in (OAuth) token, so the tool can stay connected;
- a log of uploads made with the tool (video ID, title, privacy status, source archive).
The Uploader does not use cookies. This website does not use cookies, analytics or trackers either.
Data retention and deletion
- Refresh or delete every 30 days: data obtained from YouTube API Services is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days.
- If you revoke access: all stored data obtained through YouTube API Services, including the sign-in token and upload log, is deleted within 30 days.
- On request: email contact@westmorearchive.org to ask for deletion. Stored data is deleted within 7 days.
Revoking access
You can revoke the Uploader's access to your data at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
This website
westmorearchive.org is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
